interesting fact: this painting was used as a cover of some old symphonic black metal album, namely My Infinite Kingdom: Ecstasies over a Dreaming Lady. Recommended, if you like old Summoning and Profanum.
I do like old Summoning, thanks for the recommendation. I saw this painting on Wikipedia when I was researching HP Lovecraft. I’ve been looking at paintings by Norwegian painter Theodor Kittelsen as well, you might recognize some of his work on Burzum and Empyrium covers. Great artist, I’ll probably post some of his work soon.

Houellebecq’s book about Lovecraft is a good read.
